ಸುಮಾರು ಹದಿನೈದು  ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮಾತು. ಪರ್ಲತ್ತಾಯ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ಆದ್ಯಾ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಕರಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬರಾದ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಕೀಲ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್. ನಾರಾಯಣ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು, ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಕಡಿಯಾಳಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಸಂದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ ಅದೊಂದು ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಪರ್ಲತ್ತಾಯ ವಂಶದ ಹಿರಿಯರೊಬ್ಬರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸಿ, "ಶ್ರೀಮದನಂತಪದ್ಮನಾಭನ ಪೂರ್ಣಾನುಗ್ರಹ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿರಲಿ" ಎಂದು ಹರಸಿದರು. ನಾರಾಯಣ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಆ ವೃದ್ಧರ ಪರಿಚಯ ಇರದಿದ್ದರೂ, ವೃದ್ಧರಿಗೆ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು.
